Buz User Guide
What is Live Chat?
Live Chat is a new real-time voice feature in Buz that allows you to start a voice conversation with friends anytime and anywhere! You can start a Live Chat and wait for your friends to join, or you can easily jump between multiple Live Chats, making real-time voice communication simpler and more relaxed.
Live Chat also includes engaging features like Soundboard and Gifts. The Soundboard lets you join conversations even when you can't speak. Just expand the panel in the Control Bar and click a Voicemoji to play a sound effect that everyone will hear. Use it to express emotions or play a melody—the choice is yours! With the Gifts feature, you can send various presents during Live Chat. Simply select a gift and tap anywhere on the screen to send it. For example, you can gift a friend by tapping around their profile image. Everyone will see where you've sent your gift, so don’t hold back—let's make the conversation more exciting!
Inviting a friend to join Live Chat
In a group, when Live Chat is initiated, all friends in the group will receive a notification. You can click 'Invite to Join' to invite your friends in the group to join the conversation, and they will receive the invitation via a call. If you want to invite friends who are not in the group to join the Live Chat, you need to add them to the group first and then send the Live Chat invitation.
Customizing Soundboard
To open the Soundboard, click the icon with the emoticon in the middle of the Control Bar. After you open the Soundboard panel, click the customization button in the top right corner; now you will be able to arrange your favorite Voicemoji sound effects. You can select and replace any Voicemoji from the menu into the slots. Click 'Save' to save the current settings.
You can send messages by tapping and holding the button while you speak, and releasing it once you are finished.
As long as Buz is working, messages received will automatically play through your phone's speaker/headphones. You will still receive message notifications even when you're not using the Buz app.

In Buz, we have three statuses to indicate the availability of your friends. These statuses are intended to show their online presence and their ability to engage in real-time chat:
Available: When you notice a green dot displayed before a user's name, it signifies that your friend is currently online and ready to engage in a real-time conversation. You can reach out to them and expect immediate responses.
Quiet: When you come across a purple dot before a user's name, it means that your friend is currently online but unavailable for immediate real-time chat. In this case, your messages will appear unread for them. They will be able to view your messages but may not be able to respond right away.
Offline: When a user is offline, you won't see any dot or indicator next to their name. This status indicates that your friend is currently not active on Buz. You can still send them messages, and they will receive and respond to them when they come back to Buz.
Tap the next to your profile image on the home page to switch between Available mode and Quiet mode.
When you select the Available mode, the will show up in green for a few seconds, and incoming messages will automatically play in real time. However, messages from any friends/groups you have muted will not be played.
